For Young Families

CSBE loves embracing families of every shape and size, and children are always welcomed and encouraged to attend services. In addition, age-appropriate worship services are available at different times during the year for families with young children. Our Intergenerational Shabbat Services  are designed to have a component for every member of your family. The service is filled with music and participation. Instead of a typical sermon, children ages 8 and under are engaged through a PJ Library storytime while adults and older children are treated to a folktale. These services begin earlier in the evening, so kids can still finish the Oneg in time for bed. Children in 2nd grade and under are invited to join us for our Tot Shabbat Pajama Services and Sundaes at Sundown, Havdalah events, held approximately once a month.  Children’s Services during the High Holidays are always interactive and fun, filled with story, song and many opportunities to introduce your children to our holiday traditions.  Our PJ Library events are geared toward our youngest visitors, those ages 8 and under.  These programs are designed to give young children and their caregivers their first taste of Jewish culture, through, song, crafts, stories and movement.
